Almost Perfect

Congratulations to 2005 Southwestern Conference Champion Girls X-C Teams. The girls took the competition with a nearly perfect score of 16pts. (1, 2, 3, 4, & 6). In an exciting finish super soph Lia Saunders edged the ever tough Courtney Smith to claim the individual title (19:12 - 19:12.01). Leah Bateman also returned from injury this week to place 8th just missing All-Conference. The win makes 4 in a row for the Tigers (Peoria, County, Centralia, & Conference).

Congratulations to the JV Girls team who also won the competition with 19pts. over O'Fallon. The JV team was led by Laura Bevis in an impressive performance.

Next up for the Tigers. The JV Finale on Monday, and then its on to the postseason at the Alton Regional (10/22) to begin the quest for state.
