Edwardsville Invitational - Saturday, September 19, 2009
A special thank you to all parents and booster club members for their help with this large meet! We had 26 teams and much to do to make the meet possible.
Our varsity girls ran well today, finishing in second place as a team. The meet was won by Nerinx Hall, an all girls Catholic school in Webster Grove, MO.
Congratulations to the JV girls for their first place team finish! The JV girls team consisted of Kayla Dowell, Sierra Goldsmith, Lizzie Anderson, Ashley Benson, Breana Schuett, Laurin Wright and Emily Laurent. Great Job Girls!
Congratulations to senior Kayla Dowell for her first place individual finish in the JV race! Great Job Kayla!!
Congratulations to senior Shanice Rice for her first place girls individual finish in the open race! This was also Shanice's first cross country race ever! Great job Shanice!!
A special thanks to the following FIGHTERS: Stephanie Dalla Riva, Emily Firshing, Diane Frese, Ariane Wright and Briana Chamberlain!!! Thank you for running varsity as a group of five today! You stepped up and handled the extra pressure! Diane Frese did a GREAT job scoring for her team today! Briana has looked amazing in workouts recently, your break out race is just around the corener! Ariane did a great job getting out tough stride for stride with two fantastic runners from Nerinx Hall! Stephanie and Emily continue to be the glue holding our team together, both in the races and with your leadership at all times. Great job girls!!
