Jerseyville Invitational - Monday, September 28th
A special thank you to our seven EHS girls who stepped up and ran in a varsity invitational today! The varsity team today included Shanice Rice, Dehlia Jahns, Sierra Goldsmith, Cherelle Jackson, Breana Schuett, Ashley Benson and Kacie McGauley. These girls finished in second place as a team. Great Job Girls!!
Despite a sore knee, calf and shins senior Shanice Rice finished in first place among EHS runners and in 8th place overall. Great Job Shanice!!
We had five girls win individual medals by finishing in the top 20. Shanice Rice (8th), Dehlia Jahns (11th), Sierra Goldsmith (12th), Cherelle Jackson (19th) and Breanna Schuett(20th). Great Job Girls.
Dehlia Jahns continues her impressive improvement! Keep up the good work Dehlia, I see even bigger and better things ahead of you....
Ashley, thanks for the hard work today - I know you were hurting and still you worked a race for your team!
In the open race Meghan Ruddy finished in first place overall comming off a very bad ankle injury suffered in soccer last May. Great Job Meghan!! It is nice to have you back! Sophmore Emily Laurent and Junior Laurin Wright finished in 2nd and 3rd place overall in the open race, great job, you are both hard workers! Hannah Dalla Riva continued her improved season with a nice performance in the open race!
Good luck to the EHS varsity girls at the Peoria Invitational this Saturday!
