Booster Club Meeting, Monday, April 3rd

Monday, April 3rd at 7:00p.m. will be the next Track & Field Booster Club Meeting. It will be held in Room C110 at EHS. We really need to bolster membership and attendance in the Track & Field Booster Club. While for the athletes track may be a pretty inexpensive sport, the equipment is very costly. We need new blood and ideas to make the booster club viable for the future. Please make every effort to attend.

Split Squad

This Saturday, April 1st (No fooling :) the team will be competing in two different meets.

Those who qualified will be participating in the Indoor State Meet at U of I in Champaign, IL. An itinerary is forthcoming. Participants should arrive by 6:30a.m. for a 6:45a.m. departure.

The second group of athletes will be traveling to ESL for the JJK Relays. You should arrive by 7:15a.m. for a 7:30a.m. bus.

Both meets are high quality. Be prepared. Good luck to both groups.

This Tuesday, March 28th will be the AHS, COL, EHS triangular. It will take place at Alton's Track (West Middle School) on 1513 State Street in Alton, IL. The schedule say it's home but that has been changed.

SW a Success

SW IL Relays took place this past Saturday. Congratulations. We won the affair outright for the first time ever. In 2004 we were Co-Champions along with Belleville East. We scored 113 pts. In the 15 team affair to outpace 2nd place conference foe Belleville East. Award winners were as follows:

SW IL Relays

This Saturday, March 25th are the SW IL Relays. They will take place at SIUE's Ralph Korte Stadium begining at 10:00a.m.

For those scheduled to ride the bus you should arrive at EHS by 8:45a.m.
The bus will leave at 9:00a.m.

All other athletes should see their coach about their arrival time.

Plan on it being colder. Dress appropriately.

Code of Conduct Meeting Wednesday, March 8th 2:10p.m.

The Code of Conduct Meeting for Spring Sports will take place this Wednesday, March 8th at 2:10p.m.(TOMORROW) This meeting is mandatory. BE ON TIME!!! Do not talk to your friends or boyfriends after class, do not move your car, do not go to the locker room. Head directly to the auditorium. The meeting will take 10-15 minutes and they you will go immediately to the locker room and change and come right out so we can start practice. It is also a Mindset day as we don’t have school that Monday. So the longer you take the longer your practice will be that day.

Southern IL H.S. Girls Invitational

What a meet we had this Friday in Carbondale against some top competition in Morgan Park, Freeburg, and others. We had some outstanding performances and we also have some things we need to work on. In all this meet could go a long way toward setting the tone for a great season. No team scores were kept. The top six individuals or relays were awarded prizes. Great job ladies and coaches.
