--11:00 a.m.: Bus Departs behind EHS.
--11:10 a.m.: Stop for lunch.
--12:00 p.m.: On the bus.
--2:45 p.m.: Practice at Maxwell Park.
--4:30 p.m.: Head to the hotel.
--4:45 p.m.: Check in and shower at the hotel.
--6:00 p.m.: Avanti's at the hotel for dinner.
--7:00 p.m.: Go to the mall.
--9:00 p.m.: Return to the hotel.
--9:30 p.m.: Team Meeting.
--10:00 p.m.: Everyone into their own rooms.
--10:30 p.m.: Lights out.

Saturday, October 31, 2009:
--7:00 a.m.: Wake up call.
--7:30 a.m.: Breakfast at the hotel.

At O'fallon

Bus Departure - 2:00 pm (be at EHS - 1:45pm)
Girls Varsity - 4:00pm
Girls Open Race - 5:00pm

Directions:

-Take either Interstate 255 South or Illinois Highway 159 South to Interstate 64
-Head East on Interstate 64 to O'fallon, IL
-Take the Green Mount Road Exit and head North
-Green Mount Road will turn into Obernueffman Road
-The park will be on your left about 1/4 mile past State Street (just over the railroad tracks)

Centralia Invitational Cancelled

Centralia has decided to cancel their invitational on Saturday, October 10th due to poor course conditions. We will not make this meet up.

We will have practice at 9:00AM instead (at the N.O. Nelson Complex)

Team and Individual Pictures

We will be taking team and individual photos from Life Touch on Tuesday, October 13 at 2:15. We will be passing out picture packets this week and money should be brought on picture day. Girls should check with Coach Chapman to see if you will be wearing your uniforms or a team shirt for the pictures. We delayed the pictures earlier in the year in order to get more team members in the photo.

At Fireman & Legion Park (Alhambra, IL)

Congratulations to the varsity EHS girls for their first place team finish at the county meet. I am guessing that we were the first EHS team in any sport to compete in Alhambra, IL. We did run a great team race today! Individually we had many great performances. Today should give us confidence later in the season!

Freshman Ariane Wright finished in first place individually, winning her first high school race. Kayla Dowell continued her impressive running finishing as the fifth EHS runner and medaling. Briana Chamberlain ran a great race finishing in third place individually. Seniors Stephanie Dalla Riva and Emily Firsching won 4th and 8th place medals respectively. You two girls have done so much for this team all season, thank you!!

Congratulations to sophmore Lizzie Anderson who finished in first place individually in the JV race! Great Job Lizzie!

Bus Departure - 6:45AM (Be at EHS – 6:30AM)

No Girl’s JV Race


Directions to Foundation Park (Centralia, IL)

-Take Interstate 70 East or Illinois Route 143 East Out of Edwardsville
-Head South on Illinois Route 4 towards Lebanon, IL
-Once in Lebanon head east on U.S Route 50 towards Carlyle (left turn)
-Once in Carlyle head south on Illinois Route 127
-Head east on Illinois Route 161 (take a left at the 127/161 Intersection)
-Route 161 will take you straight into Centralia
-Route 161 is called McCord Street in Centralia
-Drive through town, go past Route 51
-Foundation Park will be on your left on the east side of town
-Foundation Park is just past Pleasant Ave, on your left

Concessions will be available for purchase at this meet
*We will stop to eat on the ride home, Bring money.

Peoria High Invitational

The seven varsity girls traveled to Peoria last weekend. Thank you for running on the day of your homecomming! The mud and wet course conditions were a factor at this meet. I thought we finished up strong as the race progressed! Kayla Dowell ran a great race with a strong finish, keep up the great work Kayla!! Good luck to all runners at the Madison County Meet!

-The park is located at 610 W. Main St. (Highway 140) in Alhambra
The park is adjacent to the elementary school
Please park on the grass behind Alhambra Elementary or on Jefferson St.
(You will not be allowed to park on Landolt Road)
