Ready to Roll
Welcome back athletes and parents.
This is my first blog of the year.
The season is in full gear now and school for the 2007-2008 school year has started.
The first meet is on the horizon next week (Sat., Sept. 1st) at Granite City.
Parents and athletes please note that all athletes must ride the bus to and from all contests except for in the case of an emergency or notification via written parental note in advance of the contest. A parent or guardian is the only person an athlete can ride with at any time without written permission in advance.
I am looking forward to a great season with 31 athletes this year (up from 27)and the Tigers opening the season ranked 10th in the state (http://www.illinoispreptoptimes.com) and in the best of the rest of the Illinois Coaches Poll (http://www.icccp.org).
Look for the Fall sports preview in the Edwardsville Intelligencer this Friday, August 24th as well as the St. Louis Post Dispatch X-C Preview with a feature article on Courtney Smith (Jr.) this Saturday, August 25th.
