Upcoming Meets

Today (Thursday, April 27th) is a dual meet with Waterloo beginning at 4:00p.m.

Next Monday, May 1st we have our final home meet of the year. A dual with Belleville East.

Next Thursday, May 4th will be the final meet for the full team.
The Southwestern Conference meet will take place at Belleville East High School.
This is a Varsity and JV competiton.

Varsity members will move on to the I.H.S.A. Sectional on Friday, May 12th at East Alton Wood River High School.

Those fortunate enough to qualify for state will run in Charleston at Eastern Illinois University on Friday, May 20th and Saturday, May 21st.

Updates

Here are a few updates.

The Girls took 2nd to ESL at the Alton Invitational.
The SMR (Baumgartner, Bateman, Saunders, Stepherson) set a new school record of 1:49.48
Jamie Kantner won the 3200
Liz Speicher set a meet record winning the 1600.
Leah Bateman won the 300h
Anya Covington won the HJ.

On Monday, April 24th the Girls secured their 6th Madison County Title in a row.
Anya Covington was a double winner in the HJ and TJ. She established a new school record of 34'6 1/2" in the TJ
Kaci Smith won the 300h
The 4 x 100 (Stach, Davis, Simmons, Umbaugh) took 1st
Leah Bateman won the 1600.

This week (and next)

This Thursday, April 20th is the Alton Invitational at East Middle School in Alton, IL. THe meet starts at 4:00p.m.

This Friday, April 21st is the Fr/SO. Tiger Relays at home. 4:00p.m.

Next Monday, there is no school. We have the Madison COunty CHampionships. We will meet at school at 2:00p.m. (MD/DIst 12:00 for weights). The bus will leave at 2:30p.m.

The Tigers particpated in several meets over Spring Break.

The ladies placed 2nd of 15 teams in our own Tiger Relays.
